We Made it!

Hey! We can't believe we're finally here... it was a long trip. Too much to tell, but after 3 plane rides, a crazy car ride from the airport and a self-guided walking tour all over the city, we have figured out how to use the Internet for about $5 an hour (not bad). We'll try to hit the highlights...
We are very tired! The flights were not that comfortable and we had long layovers in between. We have each probably slept about 3 hours in the last 32. It took us over 24 hours of travel from the time we left our home to get here to our apartment. And, our apartment is another story all together! Just walking into the staircase made you think of some really scary movie scenes. The apartment itself isn't too bad. Just very different and old. The ceilings are probably 15 feet or more. The toilet isn't in the bathroom... took us a while to find it. It has it's own "closet". I think we'll be okay, but we'll be so thankful for $29 hotels in America! They are the Ritz compared to this (and it's costing $140 a night).
We've walked down the main street for quite a while and found a map, some water, pizza hut and now this Internet cafe, so we feel like we've accomplished all we can today. We will head back to the apartment to get some rest.
Thank you all for praying for us! We are here safe and sound and really can't wait to see Anya. All of our luggage arrived with us... God is good! Please pray for the next few days to go well with our adoption paperwork. Tomorrow we have to register our Visa with the government and we hope to meet up with the family from Snellville who should be arriving about now. The weather is great! Pray that it stays that way. We really want to be able to spend a lot of time with Anya. We have both commented that she is the only thing of interest to us in this city! We are, however, going to try to take in a few "touristy" sites tomorrow so we can bring back pictures as a part of her history. We love you all and miss home already. We are not meant to be world travelers. We will post again tomorrow and maybe we can figure out how to add pictures!

P.S. We thought St. Petersburg was 7 hours ahead, but they recently "sprung forward" and it is now 8 hours ahead (right now it's 7:00 PM).
