Good News & Bad News!

The good news is Senator Isakson's office called and they were able to get information about our petition from Homeland Security and found out it was approved on Thursday. Yeah!!!!! They said it should be in the mail now and we should receive it early next week. That is very exciting!
The bad news is that we received a call from NightLight (our adoption agency) and Jack's medical form with the 8 doctor signatures is not going to be accepted. One of the doctors started to write a 2 in the date and then scratched a 1 through it. Apparently this is totally unacceptable. Also, another doctor signed on the wrong line and the doctor for that line had to sign over white-out. Also, not acceptable. We had every doctor sign 2 forms for each of us - hoping that we could get one of the forms done correctly. They are now saying that we may have to go back and have all 8 doctors re-sign the form. They are asking the staff in Russia if it would be possible for us to just have the doctors who have made mistakes re-do their parts, but we are waiting to hear the response. Please pray that we do not have to get all 8 doctors to sign again, but if we do that they will all cooperate.
We are praying that all of this will be worked out by early next week and we will have our USCIS approval and we can then send everything to Russia. At that point, we will just wait to see when the courts set our adoption hearing. Our documents will first have to be translated and notarized in Russia and then they will be submitted to a court clerk who will assign us to a judge. It might be a couple of weeks before we know anything.
