Yep! Finally... today we received our approval from Homeland Security a.k.a. USCIS. Our form is officially called "I-797 Notice of favorable disposition concerning application for advance processing of orphan petition". It took them 109 days to process our application (so, if you are planning to adopt, get your application in!). We are so excited! This is officially the final step between us and getting a court date for Anya's adoption hearing. The judge could ask for more paperwork, but we should at least get a court date now. Hopefully we'll hear something in the next week or so. What an answer to prayer! Thanks for letting us share!
